The Toy Story 5 crochet doll set, eleven of them

Eleven characters in the Toy Story 5 crochet doll set: Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Bullseye, Bonnie, Evil Bullseye, Atlas, Blaze, Lily Pad, Smarty-Pants and Snappy.

Toys that come alive when nobody is watching, and the newest arrivals to a toybox that already has a cowboy and a spaceman in it. Making toys out of toys is the joke, and crocheting them is one more layer of it.

This is the studio's largest toybox set, and the one where the silhouettes vary most: a cowboy, a spaceman, a horse, a child, and five newcomers built on shapes the older characters never used. Each is crocheted as its own doll, so the set can be collected one at a time.

Woody and Buzz

The two everyone starts with, and the two that are hardest to get right. Woody's hat has to sit at an angle without sliding, so the brim is worked flat and shaped rather than stuffed; Buzz's wings are separate pieces set into the back so they stand away instead of lying against him. Both carry more colour blocking than any other doll here.

Bullseye, and Evil Bullseye

A horse is four legs that must all reach the ground. They are crocheted to the same round count and stuffed to the same firmness, which is fussier than it sounds, and it is why the horse costs the studio more time than the people do. The second version is the same body in a darker palette.
