Neverland, in two crochet dolls

Peter Pan & Tinker Bell crochet dolls are made as a pair at very different scales — which is the challenge. Tinker Bell has to be small enough to read as a fairy beside him, but not so small that her face loses its detail.

Both faces are embroidered rather than stitched in contrast rounds, so the expressions stay fine even at the smaller sizes. The wings are crocheted as their own pieces and set rather than sewn flat, so they stand away from the body.

Choosing sizes

Order Peter one size up from Tinker Bell and the pair looks right. Order them the same size and she reads as a second child rather than a fairy.
