Texture instead of costume
This set is not built on outfits. What separates the five is surface — fur worked in loops, smooth bodies, and shaped ears and tails set in as their own pieces. Loop stitch is slow and it is the reason a small set takes longer than five dolls should.

Which size
8 inches upwards. At 6 the looped texture flattens into something closer to a plain surface, which removes the thing that makes the set distinct.

A summer camp where the magic is treated as ordinary and the ordinary parts — friendship, boredom, getting lost — are treated as the adventure.
